Fridays For Fun: Sign up now for summer children's classes
Our popular children’s program will resume in June.
from batik to clay, from painting with uncommon tools to playing with your food, there’s something for everyone in this popular weekly series of classes.
All classes are designed for school-aged children. Younger children are welcome with an adult caregiver. All materials are supplied by LVSA. Scholarships are available thanks to funding from private donations from friends and supporters of LVSA. La Veta School of the Arts does not discriminate in any way.
The classes are traditionally held Fridays at LVSA from 1-3 PM, except Clay, which will be at Piñon Clay Studio Gallery: 402 S. Main in La Veta. The Clay for All class will be broken up by age. Classes for 5-8 year olds will be held at 9-10am; and 9-12 year olds from 10:30 to 11:30.

Payment Problems Resolved
After weeks of arm-wrestling with our payment gateway, it appears our web site is now playing nicely with PayPal. For those who have found donation or online registration a frustrating experience, webmaster Mark Craddock sends his deepest apologies and hopes you will once again give it a try.
New year, new web site
Welcome to the newly redesigned La Veta School of the Arts website.
Some of the features of the new site:
- A robust online registration/payment area, to make it easier for you to register for classes and workshops, as well as make donations, provide children’s scholarships or become a member of LVSA. As before, we use PayPal for secure online payments.
- Downloadable registration and membership forms, for those who still like to write checks and lick stamps.
- The “What’s New” section is the school’s blog. Look here for the latest news and information about the school. Our blog items will also be posted on Facebook and Twitter, so be sure to “like” our facebbok page and add us to your Twitter feed.
We hope you like the new look and features. Please let us know what you think.
For the Children
We have reduced the price of our children’s classes to $15 at the door and $10 with a pre-registration. This is far below what it costs us to run a class. We’re hoping you can help us by purchasing a $35 scholarship for a child “in need.” This scholarship will cover building expenses, art supplies and teacher expenses. Each child who receives a scholarship will send his or her benefactor a “thank you” postcard. You can donate a scholarship below via our secure online PayPal gateway:
