The La Veta School of the Arts Mission Statement:

The La Veta School of the Arts (LVSA) is formed for general charitable and educational purposes . It is designed to administer quality educational experiences in the arts for everyone, emphasizing creativity, originality and self–expression.
LVSA is a non–profit organization 501(c)(3) which has established a strong reputation for offering quality educational artistic experiences in one of the most breathtaking undiscovered parts of Colorado, with well–known respected instructors. LVSA has brought creative experiences to the community through Public Works Projects for children, teens and adults – 2 park benches, 16 banners for Main Street and 4 murals, all teenage projects; 12 refuse cans painted by children; 2 wind-propelled structures and 8 wind-enhanced banners for Main Street made by adults. People of all ages have been creating paving stones in the LVSA courtyard with over 175 completed works.

Our Board of Directors includes an eclectic group of successful qualified individuals who support Art in all of its forms. David Zehring, Peggy Zehring, Vashti Thomas Wachterman, Rachel Dimond, and Lana Thomas Wachterman.
